Confidential STD Testing

Atlanta Urgent Care proudly offers convenient locations for you to walk-in for discreet STD testing. Our staff protects your privacy and provides a judgement-free zone, so the choice to come in for a quick test is easy.

Many sexually transmitted diseases, commonly called STDs or STIs, do not display symptoms until after they have already done serious damage to the body. The good news, though, is most STDs are curable, and all are treatable.

Although most people are aware that STDs are harmful, many go untested and therefore, untreated. Don’t put off STD testing and simply hope for the best. Atlanta Urgent Care offers the convenience of walk-in STD testing and treatment. Our staff is discreet and protects your privacy, so the choice to come in for a quick test is easy.

We proudly provide STD testing and treatment services in both of our conveniently located clinics to ensure your peace of mind and health. We offer testing and treatment in a safe and confidential environment where you can be comfortable discussing any questions or concerns with our trained medical professionals.

These are just some of the STD tests we can perform:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Bacterial Vaginitis
  • Syphilis
  • Herpes culture (if any lesions) (We do not do HSV! & HSV2 testing since they are not accurate)
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Hepatitis C
  • Hepatitis B

Your physician will conduct a judgement-free interview to determine which tests are most appropriate for you. Depending on the test or tests you have, collection of blood, urine, or tissue samples may be necessary.

Should I Get an STD Test?

Those who are sexually active, especially with multiple partners, are highly recommended for regular STD tests. If you have had sex with a new partner without a condom, it’s important to be tested. Remember, most STDs have no symptoms in their early stages, but left untreated, can cause permanent health problems, such as infertility. What’s more, you could spread your infection to a partner if you are left untreated.

While not all STDs will show symptoms, you should be tested as soon as possible if you notice the following in your genital area:

  • Painful urination
  • Itching
  • Skin rash
  • Sores
  • Bumps
  • Unusual discharge

Getting tested and/or treated ensures not only your own health, but the health of your current and future partners, as well. You can request STD testing at Atlanta urgent Care, regardless of the initial reason for your urgent care visit.
